Privacy policy

In short

  • Your data is stored only on your device.
  • There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
  • The app does not request internet access.

PlantHelper is a plant-growing journal. It is designed so that your data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it.

What the app stores

  • Plants, journal entries (watering, feeding, measurements, climate, pests, training, harvests, notes), nutrient library entries, growth photos and your preferences.
  • All of this is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to any server; the app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app does not request internet access.
  • Android cloud backup is disabled for app data, so it is not copied to your Google account.

Permissions

PermissionWhyWhen
Camera Take growth photos of your plants Only when you tap Take a photo
Notifications Optional daily watering/feeding reminder Only if you turn reminders on
Run at startup Restore your daily reminder after the phone restarts Only acts if reminders are on

Photos chosen from your gallery use the Android system Photo Picker, so the app only receives the photos you select and never gets access to the rest of your library. Photos are stored as private copies inside the app with location (EXIF/GPS) data removed.

Exporting and sharing

You can export a backup (.zip) or your journal (.csv) and save or share it wherever you choose (for example your Downloads folder, a USB drive or a cloud drive of your choice). Once exported, that copy is under your control. Importing a backup reads only the file you select.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall the app. Both permanently remove everything the app has stored.

Children

PlantHelper is a general-audience gardening tool and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address and in the app.
